What is Crop Rotation?
Crop Rotation is the practice of growing different types of crops sequentially on the same land across different seasons.
For example: Ek saal humne Wheat (cereal crop) lagaya jisne soil ka Nitrogen absorb kiya. Agle season mein, hum usi soil par **Leguminous plants** (like Peas, Gram, Soybeans) lagayenge. In leguminous plants ki roots mein present Rhizobium bacteria soil ka nitrogen content wapas fertilize aur restore kar denge! Hum bagair chemical fertilizers ke soil ko natural tarike se recharge kar lete hain!
Core Farming Practices Checklist
- Preparation of Soil: Ploughing and leveling. Soil ko loosen karne se roots easily air breathe kar pati hain!
- Sowing: Select high-quality, disease-free seeds and sow them at correct depths.
- Adding Manure and Fertilizers: Manure naturally provides organic humus, while chemical fertilizers (NPK) provide specific elemental boosts.
